It’s my last month as a teenager, I want to live.
Переглядів 49 тис.Рік тому
It’s official, I’m no longer a teenager. I absolutely loved creating this film over the past month and I hope you enjoy it. Life is meant to be lived and I think I did a pretty good job at that these past few weeks. We started off in the south of Washington covering 100s of miles across the country ending up in the north western corner of Wyoming. Today I upload this from The Grand Tetons in Wy...

As a Peruvian, I hate the perspective tourists show to the world because obviously you don't know how our country works and they all seem lost, confused, and amazed at the most random things in such a tourist way. But I really like the perspective of this video and how everything was about having fun. Such a cool and refreshing vibe. Yall are just living in the present 🤍 also the cinematic and script is cool af, mindblowing

Great stuff, came to Peru in '97 for 6 months hard graft in the Amazon working voluntarily as a mammal researcher & team coordinator, cutting 35km of trails through virgin rainforest, getting bitten by everything, camping, living. From documentaries to reality. The bug bit. Return visits from 2000 to meet my wife-to-be ftom Cusco, 3, 6, 9 months at a time after emailing (old school emailing in the 90s). Got married in Cape Town in 2006 where I grew up & studied, back to Cusco 3 years later & permanent here since 2008 😊 Couple of small grammatical suggedtions - we call it Cusco with an 's', thr 'z' is seen as rather volonial & used in Lima. Machu Pic'chu means old mountain, Machu pichu means old men's 'private part' if you know what I mean. In Qechua its Qosqo & Machu Piq'chu 😊 Come to the Tambopata rainforest next time!

how ironic that I just talked today with my flatmate about alternative creative and social jobs and what I or we could do instead (she is already becoming a art therapist as a side hussle), dreaming of getting an atlier or any kind of other space where we could live out our dreams and start projects, bring people together, share knowledge and spend a good time and somehow make a living with that. We also talked about why we are scared to take a step and about the courage to start such things. Then I see this video today, you telling me "you can turn almost any passion of yours into a career these days" and hell yeah I know, but I am fucking scared of leaving my secure job and of wasting all the years of studying environmental sience, just to discover that I hate office jobs and would rather love to work outside or in arts and crafts. Well, guess thats life, isn't it? Finding out what you don't want is just as important to find out what you want.
